Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error-correction protocols in cryogenic environments
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns and cross-functional teams in quantum software development
- Secure $1M+ in annual grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Develop patentable quantum hardware-software co-design frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python/C++ and quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Experience mentoring quantum computing research teams
