Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols to enhance quantum coherence in next-gen processors
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Collaborate with AI researchers to develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks
- Secure and manage research grants from government agencies and private investors
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to our patent portfolio
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science with 5+ years of industry experience
- Proven expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum circuit design
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints and mitigation strategies
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Experience securing federal grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA) or corporate R&D funding
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate quantum concepts to stakeholders
