Responsibilities
- Lead research in quantum algorithms and error correction methodologies
- Design scalable quantum circuits for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with practical implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE conferences
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and develop quantum computing curricula
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Published work in quantum algorithm design or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Experience with quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or industry research funding
- Expertise in quantum machine learning frameworks (e.g., PennyLane, TensorFlow Quantum)
