Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems in finance, logistics, and cryptography
- Lead cutting-edge research in quantum error correction and qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype quantum processors using superconducting circuits
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international conferences like IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and drive open-source quantum computing initiatives
- Develop patentable quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding through NSF and DoE grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science (or equivalent research experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfacing
