Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond 2026 industry benchmarks
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to prototype next-generation quantum processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating theoretical models into practical quantum applications
- Publish research in Nature, Science, and IEEE Quantum journals
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and industry consortia
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 5+ years of experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated track record of securing government or corporate research grants
- Experience with quantum annealing and superconducting qubit technologies
- Strong background in complex mathematical modeling and statistical analysis
