Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware interfaces
- Secure $3M+ in DoE/NSF grants for quantum research initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Publish 2+ high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science
- Collaborate with IBM/Microsoft quantum cloud platforms
- Develop patentable quantum encryption methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years experience with quantum circuit design (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum assembly languages
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems (4K environments)
- Strong background in quantum error correction codes
- Demonstrated grant-writing success for federal funding
- Security clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
