Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at cryogenic temperatures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to error-correct qubit systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure patents for proprietary quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional teams
- Develop open-source quantum computing frameworks for industry adoption
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and error correction protocols
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science or IEEE journals
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum information theory and complexity
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
