Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations on superconducting platforms
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical computing systems
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry whitepapers
- Secure federal and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Maintain compliance with NIST quantum security standards
- Mentor junior researchers and foster collaborative innovation culture
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design using frameworks like Qiskit or Cirq
- Published work in quantum algorithm development or error correction
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants exceeding $1M
- Experience mentoring quantum research teams in corporate or academic settings
