Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead experiments on 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques
- Collaborate with hardware teams on quantum chip architectures
- Publish research in top-tier scientific journals
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates
- Secure government and corporate research grants
- Present findings at international conferences (Q2C, APS March Meeting)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals or conferences
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Amazon Braket)
- Proven grant-writing track record for federal funding (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Security clearance eligibility preferred
