Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant systems
- Lead cross-functional prototyping initiatives with hardware engineering teams
- Publish breakthrough research in IEEE Nature journals and present at major conferences
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum security initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum computing interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit)
- Publication record in quantum information science or related fields
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault tolerance protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with high-performance computing frameworks
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit Aqua, Cirq)
