Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for machine learning optimization and cryptography
- Develop error-correction protocols to stabilize quantum coherence in multi-qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams to translate theoretical models into functional quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature Physics and IEEE journals
- Collaborate with government agencies on quantum-resistant security standards
- Present breakthroughs at international conferences like IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in superconducting qubit manipulation and cryogenic engineering
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Proven ability to secure research grants from NSF or DARPA
- Experience mentoring graduate-level researchers
