Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions with classical AI frameworks
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Secure patents for breakthrough quantum methodologies and architectures
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Conferences
- Partner with NASA and DARPA on classified quantum computing initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computational Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years developing quantum algorithms on platforms like IBM Q or Rigetti
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Q# programming languages
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Clearance for DoD/NASA projects (or ability to obtain)
