Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Develop novel quantum machine learning frameworks for enterprise applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical and practical quantum implementations
- Secure government and private sector funding for cutting-edge quantum initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum error correction
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing R&D funding (>$1M)
- Experience with superconducting qubit or trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in topological quantum computing concepts
