Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into existing tech stacks
- Publish breakthrough research in peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from federal and private funding sources
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy across the organization
- Develop roadmaps for quantum computing adoption in enterprise environments
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact quantum computing research
- Expertise in at least one classical computing domain (ML, cryptography, HPC)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
