Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in prototyping quantum systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE)
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from DARPA and NSF
- Mentor PhD candidates and drive quantum literacy initiatives
- Develop patentable quantum hardware innovations
- Present findings at global conferences like IEEE Quantum Week
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (exceptional MS with 5+ years experience)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and error correction
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Experience with superconducting qubits or ion trap systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure government or corporate research funding
- Strong track record of open-source contributions to quantum computing projects
