Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for practical applications in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Optimize quantum circuits for error correction and scalability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theory and physical quantum systems
- Secure $500K+ in annual R&D grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and interns in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit or Cirq
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant systems
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and superposition principles
- Experience with high-performance computing and GPU acceleration
- Strong track record of securing government or industry research funding
- Certification in quantum machine learning (optional but preferred)
