Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for complex optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and industry conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical implementations
- Identify and commercialize quantum computing applications in finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure research funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
- Mentor PhD candidates and lead quantum computing education initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience with quantum algorithm development (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics principles and quantum information theory
- Track record of securing government or industry research grants
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion architectures
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
