Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization and cryptography applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum circuits on superconducting platforms
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Secure $5M+ in government/private research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
- Drive intellectual property strategy for 2026 quantum commercialization roadmap
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum gate-model systems
- Publication record in quantum computing or condensed matter physics
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Proven ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Experience mentoring cross-disciplinary technical teams
