Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum processors using superconducting and photonic qubit platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum architectures and control systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure $1M+ in research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Proficiency in low-level hardware interfacing (FPGAs, cryogenic systems)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
