Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm experiments using IBM Quantum and Rigetti systems
- Develop novel quantum error correction techniques for fault-tolerant computing
- Lead cross-functional projects with AI and materials science teams
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoE grant applications
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum physics principles
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum information science or top-tier physics journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong Python/C++ programming skills with scientific computing libraries
