Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era applications in machine learning and optimization
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims on 1000+ qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for enterprise-scale problem solving
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $5M+ in DARPA/NASA grants for quantum-resistant cryptography projects
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for industrial deployment
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or trapped-ion systems
- Published peer-reviewed research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of Shor's algorithm, quantum annealing, and variational methods
- Proven track record of translating theoretical concepts to experimental prototypes
- Clearance for DoD quantum security projects (or ability to obtain)
