Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures for scalable quantum processors
- Lead experimental quantum hardware testing and validation protocols
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-accelerated machine learning models
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
- Secure $2M+ in annual quantum computing research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with quantum focus
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, etc.)
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in superconducting or photonic quantum systems
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DoE, DARPA)
