Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures and error-correction methodologies
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype and validate quantum hardware prototypes
- Collaborate with government agencies and Fortune 500 partners on national quantum initiatives
- Author breakthrough research papers for Nature Physics and IEEE Transactions
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA programs
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, or PRL)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Proficiency in quantum circuit design and quantum error correction
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Q, Rigetti, D-Wave)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complex analysis
- Track record of securing competitive research grants
- US citizenship required for government collaboration projects
