Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead cross-functional teams to develop quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum circuit performance
- Secure $5M+ in federal grants for quantum computing initiatives
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Present findings at global quantum summits (IEEE Quantum Week, etc.)
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Publication record in quantum computing (≥5 papers in QIP or similar venues)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Experience with quantum simulators (QASM, Quil) and hardware interfaces
- Demonstrated ability to secure federal research grants (NSF, DOE)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
