Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum software with cryogenic processors
- Lead cross-functional research initiatives with academic and government partners
- Publish findings in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, IEEE) and present at conferences
- Secure research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in quantum computing or high-performance computing
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum assembly languages
- Deep understanding of quantum mechanics and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ion, photonic)
- Strong problem-solving skills for NP-hard optimization problems
