Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead quantum hardware integration projects with superconducting and photonic systems
- Develop error-correction protocols to achieve quantum advantage in practical scenarios
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor PhD interns and collaborate with industry partners like Google Quantum AI
- Secure federal grants (DARPA, NSF) and commercial partnerships
- Contribute to open-source quantum frameworks like Qiskit and Cirq
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years industry experience
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (minimum 5 papers)
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum machine learning frameworks
- Proficiency with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, PyQuil)
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Q, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical modeling
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
