Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction protocols to advance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and private foundations
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent quantum computing venues
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy experiments and metrics
