Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error-corrected quantum circuits using superconducting and photonic architectures
- Lead quantum cryptography projects for post-quantum secure communications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing protocols
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NIST grants for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Engineering (or equivalent industry experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum programming with Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in tensor networks and quantum simulation frameworks
