Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to co-design quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and Q# programming
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent journals
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Demonstrated experience with cryogenic quantum hardware interfaces
- Strong background in topological quantum error correction
- Proven ability to secure federal research funding
