Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional research projects in quantum cryptography and secure communications
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related quantum discipline
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with superconducting systems
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum information science or top-tier CS conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
