Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for practical commercial applications
- Lead experiments on superconducting qubit systems and quantum error correction
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance
- Develop quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature Physics/Science journals
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information with 3+ years postdoc experience
- Published 5+ papers on quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience with cryogenic quantum computing systems (4K mK environments)
- Track record of securing NSF or DARPA quantum research funding
- Expertise in topological quantum computing or fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in condensed matter physics or quantum field theory
