Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction codes for 2026-era hardware
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Author peer-reviewed publications and secure NSF/DoE research grants
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers in quantum information theory
- Interface with quantum hardware teams to co-design next-generation processors
- Contribute to quantum security frameworks for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or PennyLane frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
