Responsibilities
- Design and optimize quantum algorithms for near-term quantum processors (2026 roadmap)
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Lead cross-functional research teams in quantum simulation and cryptography applications
- Publish findings in top-tier journals and present at international quantum computing conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineering teams to co-design quantum processors
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies and architectures
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory and experimental physics
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with high-performance computing environments
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Track record of innovative problem-solving in emerging tech domains
