Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures operating at millikelvin temperatures
- Develop cryogenic control systems with sub-10ns timing precision
- Implement quantum error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems
- Integrate photonic networks with superconducting processors
- Lead security audits for quantum-resistant cryptographic frameworks
- Optimize quantum-classical hybrid computing workflows
- Document architecture blueprints in ISO 27001-compliant frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years designing cryogenic quantum systems below 20mK
- Expertise in quantum error correction surface code implementations
- Proficiency with FPGA-based control electronics (Xilinx Zynq)
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum hardware
- SC clearance or ability to obtain DOE Q-level clearance
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
