Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and photonic systems
- Develop cryogenic control systems with sub-10mK stability for quantum processor operation
- Optimize quantum error correction protocols using machine learning frameworks
- Integrate quantum accelerators with classical HPC infrastructure for hybrid computing workflows
- Lead security protocols for quantum-encrypted communications networks
- Document quantum system performance metrics and failure analysis reports
- Mentor junior engineers in quantum hardware troubleshooting techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years with cryogenic systems and dilution refrigerators (below 20mK)
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface code, color code)
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation libraries (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Familiarity with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Certification in quantum security protocols (QKD, PQC standards)
- Publication record in IEEE Transactions on Quantum Engineering or equivalent
- Experience with high-frequency RF control systems (up to 8 GHz)
