Responsibilities
- Architect 2026 strategic foresight frameworks using horizon scanning, scenario planning, and trend analysis
- Lead innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams to prototype future-facing solutions
- Develop predictive models for emerging technology adoption (quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI)
- Author thought leadership publications and keynote presentations at global innovation forums
- Advise executive leadership on long-term R&D investments and market disruption vectors
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and government labs for collaborative R&D
- Mentor junior futurists and build the organization's future literacy capabilities
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or future-focused R&D leadership
- Proven track record of developing multi-year technology roadmaps for Fortune 500 companies
- Expertise in horizon scanning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Deep knowledge of emerging tech domains: quantum computing, neurotech, climate tech, or AI ethics
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry whitepapers
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or relevant technical field (PhD/MSc preferred)
- Exceptional storytelling and visualization skills for communicating complex future scenarios
- Experience scaling innovation labs in high-growth tech environments
