We're seeking a visionary Senior Quantum AI Research Scientist to architect next-generation computational frameworks that redefine industry standards. You'll collaborate with Nobel laureates and MIT-affiliated researchers in our Austin R&D hub, developing proprietary quantum algorithms that solve previously unsolvable optimization problems in logistics, cryptography, and computational biology.
Our Austin campus features a 500-qubit quantum processor, dedicated neuromorphic computing labs, and unlimited GPU/TPU resources. This role offers equity participation in our $2B Series C-funded venture and includes relocation assistance for international candidates.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for enterprise-scale optimization challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers in developing hybrid quantum-classical pipelines
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals with impact factor >15
- Architect fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for real-world deployment
- Collaborate with Fortune 100 partners to commercialize quantum-AI solutions
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and lead quantum computing workshops
- Secure $1M+ in annual DARPA/NASA research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Machine Learning, or Computational Physics (exceptional MS with 5+ years experience considered)
- Proven expertise in quantum circuit design and error correction protocols
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, QCE)
- Mastery of Python/C++ with quantum computing frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Experience with neuromorphic computing and spiking neural networks
- Demonstrated ability to secure government research funding
- Expertise in topological quantum computing and Majorana fermion manipulation
- Patent portfolio in quantum machine learning (3+ granted patents)
