Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare and clean construction sites, removing debris and obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment to designated areas efficiently.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and masons by providing necessary labor and assistance.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) safely and in accordance with safety protocols.
- Measurements: Assist in measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, metal, and other construction materials.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with OSHA safety standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in general construction or a related skilled trade.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Tools: Familiarity with basic hand tools and power tools is preferred.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- Safety: Commitment to safety practices and wearing all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
