Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling the ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks including cleaning work areas, removing debris, and assisting skilled tradespeople.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools and heavy machinery safely under supervision (e.g., saws, drills, compactors).
- Quality Control: Help ensure work meets project specifications and safety standards.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with foremen and team members to ensure project progress.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (50+ lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
- Safety Conscious: Understanding of basic construction safety protocols (OSHA guidelines preferred but not required).
- Communication Skills: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Availability: Must be available to work Monday through Friday, with potential weekend shifts.
