Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and securing materials
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and task execution
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills, etc.)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Read blueprints and interpret construction documents to support project accuracy
- Perform heavy lifting, digging, and other physically demanding tasks as assigned
- Participate in site cleanup and waste management procedures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality are mandatory
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for 8+ hours daily
