Responsibilities
- Execute physically demanding tasks including material handling, site preparation, and debris removal
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment under supervision
- Assist skilled tradespeople with carpentry, masonry, and framing operations
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and job site cleanliness
- Read blueprints and follow verbal/written instructions from site supervisors
- Participate in scaffold setup, concrete pouring, and finish work
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid O-10 card and ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Physical stamina to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction terminology
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Virginia Beach
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights/weekends for project deadlines
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork principles
