Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) and heavy equipment (excavators, forklifts) with proper certification
- Follow blueprints and verbal instructions to execute construction tasks accurately
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and task completion
- Complete daily progress reports and document equipment usage
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction/labor experience or relevant trade school certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for material measurement and task estimation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for safety violations
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
