Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from the site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist Tradespeople: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers by providing necessary labor, tools, and support to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools and equipment are returned to their proper locations after use.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety guidelines and company protocols to ensure a safe working environment for everyone.
- Site Cleanup: Perform regular cleanup duties, including sweeping, trash removal, and site sealing.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including standing, bending, lifting, and climbing.
- Strength: Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and fellow team members.
- Reliability: Must have a reliable mode of transportation and be available to work full-time hours.
- Tools: Basic familiarity with hand tools (hammers, saws) is preferred but not required.
