Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment on and off trucks.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks on the job site.
- Perform site preparation, including digging, tamping, and cleaning debris.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Transport materials between job sites and storage areas.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, and push heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to learn and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Valid Driver’s License is preferred but not always required.
- Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is a plus.
