Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials, and operating hand/power tools
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, welders) on commercial/residential sites
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and project specifications
- Prepare job sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Read blueprints and interpret technical drawings for accurate execution
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs promptly
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily project milestones
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous physical activity for extended periods
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (provided on-site)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for tardiness
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain)
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
