Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground for new builds.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport heavy construction materials (wood, steel, concrete) to and from the site using hand trucks, forklifts, or pallet jacks.
- Skilled Trade Support: Provide hands-on assistance to certified electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and HVAC technicians as directed on-site.
- Equipment Maintenance: Clean, inspect, and maintain tools and machinery to ensure they are in safe and operational condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free working environment.
- Site Cleanup: Perform regular cleanup duties to ensure the job site remains organized, clean, and compliant with regulations.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to Learn: A strong desire to develop skills in the construction and skilled trades industry with a positive attitude.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid driver's license and social security card.
- Reliability: Punctual and consistent attendance with a proven history of reliability.
- Basic Math: Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic arithmetic for accurate measurements.
- Steel-toed Boots: Candidates must provide their own steel-toed safety boots and work attire.
