Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding in compliance with safety regulations.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate power tools, forklifts, and heavy construction machinery as required.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- Assembly: Assist in the assembly and disassembly of structures, including framing, drywall, and basic carpentry tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety standards, wear personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, and report hazards immediately.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent accidents and ensure workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience as a construction laborer or in a similar trade is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long durations.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members on-site.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
