Responsibilities
- Perform physical labor tasks including excavation, demolition, material handling, and site cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and light equipment (compactors, forklifts)
- Read and interpret blueprints, safety protocols, and project specifications
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material preparation
- Maintain a safe, organized work environment following OSHA standards
- Transport materials to designated areas using wheelbarrows, carts, or manual lifting
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain tool inventory
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
