Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in residential/commercial settings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with NEC standards
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methodologies
- Supervise apprentices and junior electricians while maintaining safety protocols
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Document work performed, maintain inventory, and submit required reports
- Perform system upgrades and energy-efficient retrofits for commercial clients
Qualifications
- Valid Virginia electrician license (Class A or Master preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise in NEC compliance, load calculations, and circuit design
- OSHA 10-hour certification and CPR/First Aid training
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools (multimeters, clamp meters, etc.)
- Ability to read technical blueprints and perform complex installations
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environmental conditions
