Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and residential buildings
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Diagnose electrical issues using testing equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and clients on project requirements
- Train apprentices on best practices and safety protocols
- Manage inventory and order materials for assigned projects
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois electrician license (Journeyman or Master)
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- OSHA 10-hour certification required
- Strong knowledge of NEC codes and local regulations
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Physical ability to climb ladders, lift 50+ lbs, and work in confined spaces
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends for urgent projects
